A BOOK promoting the "marvellous" health benefits of potentially fatal measles should be taken off the shelves, doctors say.
Melanie's Marvelous Measles is an anti-vaccination book aimed at children. It claims – despite evidence that measles can kill and cause brain damage – that it's a "good thing" to have.
What specific books did you like as a child? Do you remember the moral of the story in it?

I had measles as a kid, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I had to stay in a dark room all day..
I still got vaccinated for it years later as part of a school Measles and Mumps vaccination.

Well I had measels badly when I was six and spent the next six months dealing with tonsilitis due to the that..
They finally were able to removed the tonsills between bouts... I also had my eyes affected by it.
Some 40 years later I got it again..YES, it can be repeated, don't believe the dross... I was equally as ill... now I have been innoculated for it and hope it works.
I wouldn't wish any of the illnesses the kids and oldies can be inoculated against on anyone.. they are deadly killers...
Rather the risk of a reaction... and yes, then hopefully be able to handle it.

A relative of mine came extremely close to death after contracting measles as a 3yo. He is now profoundly deaf as a result of his illness. So it still, 30 something years later, affects his life on a daily basis. These people are complete nutters and dangerous.
