I am going to the US in the beg of Feb.

With buying the Kindle Fire now, before it is released in Aust, you can't download tv shows or movies.

With Amazon App Store, Amazon mp3, Amazon cloud storage, and Amazon VOD also all unavailable outside of the US as yet.

I also saw advt on US - A site, a bundle of the Kindle3 e-reader and the Kindle fire... they seem to promote that you can still use the Kindle3 e-reader (e-ink) to read books, and the Fire (not e-ink) for music/tv shows/ web surfing/movies.

According to Smarthouse, a source close to matter has informed them that Kindle Fire will be launched down under next month [Jan] for around A$250.

Re: Kindle advice

I'm lost Misty - I have been doing the books, but haven't tried to DL anything else on it?  I have also been surfing the net as I hooked it into my home wi-fi, without any problems....

I have never been big on DL'ing movies myself, so I am not sure if/when I will be trying :8}

Tried everything twice......loved it both times!

Amy, Have you subscribed to Pixelofink yet?

Downloaded about 15 freebies today, can't wait until my Kindle arrives and I can put them on it and start reading!
