ahhh who knows amy. She bought it from BigW.
I wish she had gone to Dick Smith, at least there they would have a record of her purchase!
I think she will have to wait for her cc statement to come (no internet banking, she's terrified of that!)

My sister bought a tv from W and lost her receipt, she knew the day she bought it and they had a record of it? gave her a copy almost 6 months later.

Oh, Good oh, I will ring her today and get her to pop down to Big W and try her luck!
Thanks

I can't see why they won't exchange it if it is faulty? I took a kettle back after 6 months without a receipt, it was tripping the switch. They exchanged it no problem.

Just got off the phone to my Mum. She's all sorted with the exchange and has a new Kindle.
Now she just has to work out how to deregister the old one and register the new one.
I told her to email Amazon and get them to ring her so they can take her through it step by step.

I bought a Kindle, leather cover & light. I downloaded a book, all I need now is time to read it. :_|

awww thanks! She is determined to figure it out all by herself, although I am not hopeful ๐ It took her over 30min to log onto facebook the other day, she just doesn't fire up in the thinking dept like other ppl.
I may just take you up on the offer if she really can't do it โฅ
