Re: Kindle advice

I am currently reading "David & Suzanne's Big Frikin' Canadian Motorcycle Adventure", (it was one of the Pixel of Ink offerings).

It is genuine Laugh Out Loud stuff.  I am having to be careful where I am reading 'cause people probably think I am crazy when I suddenly let out with great cackles of laughter.

Loving it! :^O:^O:^O:^O:^O

Oh great, that's one of the ones I downloaded earlier. Glad it's so good, I won't try reading that at night when OH is trying to sleep then.

Re: Kindle advice

I am ready to murder my kindle.  For some reason it can't connect to wireless (when it did before).  I only realised this was happening because I bought some books and they weren't appearing on my Kindle.  I then found out Amazon had deregistered my kindle.  So I registered it again and still nothing.  I've done hard reboot, even restored factory settings.

I'm loathe to call their customer service due to an issue I had previously where I sent a kindle back they even logged it as being received but then claimed I never returned it and took $225 from my account.  When I quiered it, they refunded my money, but not all of it, it took a total of 5 days for the money to be refunded and then some of it had to appear as a promotional credit on my Amazon account because (according to them) they couldn't refund that portion.

Sorry to rant, but I really needed to get that off my chest.  I'm going to try one last thing and if that doesn't work, I'll be spitting chips

before we went away I went and had a look at Kindles and Kobos - the young bloke in JB HiFi  told me that for only a little bit more I should buy an ipad and get the 'books' app and do that instead -

I thought oh no it's not just a little bit more and then remembered I have the 'books' app on my iphone and I have been happily reading books on that - it's even smaller than a kindle and didn't cost me any more money.

It's great - I have been taking MIL to some of her radiation appointments and Specialist appointments and I can just read my book or my emails or play words with friends or bid on something on ebay all with the one device ๐Ÿ™‚

All I have to do is reclaim my kindle from Master 13 to read all the books I just downloaded.  Master 12 has his own, but Master 13 has decided he wants to read mine now. ๐Ÿ˜
