Re: Kindle advice

I am reading the book I bought yesterday but haven't been game to click off it in case I lose my page.  If I go to menu and do other things, then click back on this book, will it take me to the page I'm up to?

If you're reading a book and you navigate away from it to, say, go to the kindle store or some other location, the kindle will take you back to the last page read when you click on the book title in the index page.

This also works when the machine has been turned off then on again.

Re: Kindle advice

Thanks Crosby - got the hang of that now.

Not sure how to get on the net - I'm sure Amy said she was reading CS on her kindle.

I was going to buy a gift card at Amazon but I have so many free books saved, I will use my cc if there is a particular book I want.

Love it though.  Got my cover etc the other day.  I think I will only use it if I take it out.

Re: Kindle advice

I  find it more comfortable to read mine with the cover on, feels more like a book, but also easier for me to hold and "turn" the pages.

Re: Kindle advice

I have just discovered that the Kindle Touch can now be delivered to Austalia.  I don't know if it can be purchased from shops here yet though.

I am also in 2 minds about them as I have read that the screens are not as clear as the kindle keyboards.

But if anyone is desperately waiting for the touch to be available, now it is.

interesting, I went to the international shipping site and clicked on Kindle, then chose kindle touch from the "others available" bit and selected ship to Australia - it indicated it was available.

Re: Kindle advice

I hate the touch screen on my pc....comes in handy if my mouse batteries go flat though. I don't like the fingerprints.........so not likely I will get a touch kindle.....
