Bought mine from the local Woolworths supermarket about ten days ago - full cost (with cover) $160.00 and about 30minutes later had "bought" my first book -  no complaints whatsoever!

Re: Kindle advice

I get an email from Door Busters each day.  Didn't know why until I noticed today that points go onto your everyday awards card (Woolworths).  They have a kindle on special today for $99.  I think it is only wireless - no 3G, but it has the keyboard.

Thanks Amy but yours is a 3 isn't it?  I have a 4 and I'm really interested in one with a light.  I have a cheapy clip on book light thing that is ok but chews through the batteries.

Re: Kindle advice

Am currently reading the 'Yesterday's Gone' series and am loving it. They are short books but you can buy them in two bulk lots for $4.99 each.

They are great aren't they Amy? I've not read all of them, just the freebies I've managed to get.

Re: Kindle advice

My 10inch Kindle with the leather cover ($70) was stolen so I got the 7inch touch screen.

Amazon Kindle re loaded all my books on the new one for free.

I'm so much happier with the small touch screen one but the large one was expensive.  I'm sorry it was stolen.:_|

You do know your books are in your account forever? and you can reload them yourself? I have deleted some and can reload them.

Re: Kindle advice

It was stolen whilst we were asleep in our own home. A home invasion that could have been a lot worse.

The police were great & now we have a full security, lights & window locks.

It's such a shame too because we live in a quiet leafy suburb, never locked our doors or windows & are in a secluded battleaxe block. This was the last thing you would expect. It was prob just kids but they wore gloves.

Our neighbours are horrified that this could happen in our area.

The police have sent me a 10 page info sheet to inform us what to do with our security.

The worst thing about it is that the info says that the thieves usually return in about 6 weeks time to have another go because they got away with it.

They better not run into my OH, he's a big Glaswegien & brooks no nonsense.
