Lurker on a Kindle messageboard I visit people have mentioned that they put thier kindle into a plastic ziploc bag when they are near water.  The A site also has waterproof cases for most of the Kindle models (they don't have one for the new touch model which isn't available in Aust yet)

That is such a good idea, thanks happy :-x  I had been a bit wary of taking it to the beach too but I just checked and it fits perfectly into a snaplock sandwich bag.  Problem solved :-x

Great freebie out today. I got it a few weeks ago, and loved it.

From the big river in South America it's title is:

To Love Anew (Sydney Cove Series #1 written by Bonnie Leon. It's set in the convict days, is written up as a Christian book, but is not overly so, don't let that put you off.

OK so you know how we were talking the other day about converting pdf files to make them available to be read on the Kindle.  What about going the other way?

I am currently reading an ebook that I think my OH would really enjoy but he doesn't have a Kindle and he sure as heck isn't getting anywhere near mine! X-(

I have copied three files from the Kindle to my computer.  They are an AZW file, an EA file and a MBP file.  Any ideas how I can make them readable?

I downloaded Cloud Reader, and it shows your whole library, so you can see what books you have, and also read them at your PC.

It's nice seeing the covers of the books you have in colour, and especially viewing any pictures as that is the only downfall with the Kindle, that the pictures are sometimes not so easy to view.

I am currently reading "David & Suzanne's Big Frikin' Canadian Motorcycle Adventure", (it was one of the Pixel of Ink offerings).

It is genuine Laugh Out Loud stuff.  I am having to be careful where I am reading 'cause people probably think I am crazy when I suddenly let out with great cackles of laughter.

Loving it! :^O:^O:^O:^O:^O
