Aww my 14 year old son just happily paid for a Kiva loan out of his own money. I suggested it to him after showing him the one I did last night and he didn't hesitate to say yes.

I hadn't heard of Kiva but I have a little money in my Paypal account from a couple of sales this month so I'm going to lend it to someone ... probably someone in Uganda as I spent some of my childhood there.

cezm, I know, what I sometimes do is select the ones that are nearly complete or ones that repay within a shorter period of time. 🙂

The way I have done it is slowly doing $25 loans and have built it up to having $300 in the account and everytime I get 25 back in my account, I relend and so on. So I have a max of 12 loans all the time.

I joined the team and, finally, picked 3... my brother went to Uganda for a couple of weeks last year to assist in the building of a classroom in an orphanage. For health reasons I couldn't go so this can be my (very) little contribution.

Hopefully I can build it up from $75 like you have done...
