yes, i give kudos. and, i've had some.. its a new experience. do you think kudo-giving is a form of cyber-bullying when its backs up a critical post or remark ? is a combination of kudos and tags too much to bear, and do you think it divides an already fractured community ? is the community fractured naturally , and the fracturing not a concern ? is it not fractured ? .

I forget that they are there most of the time.
When I remember and a it's member of a thread I post on regularly that I agree with and would like to give a kudos to
I feel reluctant to incase this is seen as me being controlled by the person who started the thread ......funny how those who may think/suggest that and that I am not an individual member in my own right are the ones who are actually controlling me in cases like that...end result could be I don't use that function at all ?
On a Community level..I'd think that people trained to do profiles could perhaps tell quite a bit about a Community by the way members of that community give their Kudos and what they give them to.
Somewhere in Parenting 101 I'm sure that there would be the words don't reward bad behaviour .

I leave kudos when I agree with and/or like the post and there is no need to add anything. Sometimes I have already posted in that topic earlier, but not always.
Just because some people never post does not necessarily mean anything sinister; I have a friend, old man in his late 70s, who spends a lot of time looking at various discussions, but is too shy and slow typing to ever post. He goes to boards for a hobby that he is still actively involved with and that keeps him up to date with what is going on in the field of his interest, and keeps him busy for a part of a day.
If somebody likes to read opinions or learn how eBay works by coming here, without ever commenting, what is the harm? Actually, I would think that if somebody has nothing to say, it is better not say it

Kudos is a new content rating system that lets you vote for the messages you think are the most useful or important.
When you give Kudos to a message, you are offering a thumbs-up for good content and a pat on the back to its author.
Your Kudos helps to boost the value of certain messages and enhance the reputation of their authors.
Giving Kudos is as easy as a single click, but the impact of Kudos ripples across the community.
some peoples Kudos has been backdated to mid 2012

Some people must have special powers and can see in behind other posters screens.
You don't need special powers, am, if you click on the little window bottom right of each post showing the number of kudos that post has received, it takes you to a page that shows you a list of who has gfiven those kudos
That's right and if as Karen said the posts made by members awarded Kudos by other members aren't there to read anymore that would I would think indicate that those particular posts have been removed for some reason

i do give kudos to posts i like, but i don't see anything sinister in that like some imagine that that is happening
if you were talking about tagging well then that is a whole different ball game.
and have no problems with people giving kudos without posting.
also i don't actually go and check out who has given kudo's to who either .

I've just handed out a lot of kudos
