A friend of mine that works for Southern told me yesterday that their contracts weren't renewed because they wouldn't accept a drop in salary. Apparently it was quite a substantial salary decrease.

The feeling at the station is that they were being unfairly screwed.

I don't know if that is true BTW. My friend works quite closely with the shows producers.

Who'd accept a drop in pay?

Kyle and Jackie being such legends int their own lunchtime, I'd be surprised if they'd have even accepted the same level of pay for a new contract.

does anyone really mind ?  the only car radio i listen to is the most boring ABC regional i can find. i know the prices for wethers and ewes at the colac saleyards , warnambool too.

   they only tend to give local prices, for instance at the port or the grain facility. there have been good yields on legume crops this year overall i believe though.
