LGTB in Christianity

Do you think it's possible to be LGTB and a Christian?

 What about other religions/faiths/beliefs?

Note: Please don't be nasty! Whatever your personal beliefs, I didn't start this thread so you could offend each other. Please be nice and try to be understanding. This is a public forum, anyone can read what is written here. Thanks!

If you consider yourself to be a Christian or any other belief, you would know the answer to your question, on the other hand, if you are not a Christian then you don't need to ask for answers that are of no value to you. Why do you need to ask?  Are you conducting a personal poll? Are you just stirring the pot?

apparently there hasn't been enough discussions of this topic on here already - OP seems to need a bit more angst happening.

No one asked you to join in or to even read the thread. You did that of your own accord.

Patronising - doesn't quite cover it.

More a continual - 'trying to teach your grandmother how to suck eggs'.

I know the answer to my own question if asked in a literal sense, yes. However I was hoping that some of you on the thread would recognize that what I was really asking was 'do you think it's right to be religious/a believer and be gay/trans/bi/etc.' Most people seem concerned with answering the question in a literal sense Smiley Frustrated

i thought you'd know by now that

most of the posters here are not religious.

the only one i can think of that is religious

is bob.

Were I a practicing member of LGBT, I would be wary of associating with "Christians".....for what is supposed to be the religion of peace, understanding, and love, so many hate.........they hate other religions, they hate other ethnicities, they hate that women have minds, and they hate those of other sexual persuasions..........and they absolutely revel in hypocrisy.

That "Christian" in Kentucky, Kim Davis, is a perfect example.........she says that signing a marriage license for a couple of the same gender violates her religious beliefs, but she has no problem marrying and divorcing husbands in violation of the Bible......currently inflicting hell and damnation on her fourth.

Comments are running 10 to one in support of her being impeached, fined, or jailed.  The only ones supporting her position are the "Christians", aptly represented by the Westboro Baptist Church.

What has right or wrong got to do with it? A Christian is someone who believes in God andthe bible and  believes that Jesus was the son of God.

I believe that people who believe that are wrong because it isn't true.

They believe I am wrong because it is true.

Where does sexual orientation come into that?

Did you perhaps mean, should LGBT people have the right to call themselves Christians?

In that case I would answer, belief isnt a right, it's just something you have - and no-one can actually prevent you from believing anything you wish to believe.
