I did once vote for another party outside of those 2, but it only ended up being the same old same old so i gave up lol
That is because you didn't do your research on where your preferences would go before they became exhausted.
This is the reason why unknown minor candidates end up as Senators.
It is part of a strategy aimed at the naive voters.

Freshwater, I knew what i was doing, (or thought I did ), it was the Democratics and the first thing they did was make a deal and break their promises

Vote for what you believe in and the party you trust.
That's all anybody can do. Weasel words like they're both as bad as each other? that's usually only said by losers who are struggling with disappointment.
Stand up and be proud of your convictions. What??? would you rather not?? would you rather live in under totalitarian or dictatorial regime. maybe Mugabe would be OK.
We live in a vibrant decmocracy and saying how much you hate our system reeks of ignorance of how it all works.
Get real.

I agree SF.....that is why I have never voted for either of the Big Two.
Because I have been involved in politics for a long time (not on the fringes) I understand the importance of preferences and where they end up before they are exhausted..
However I think that drawing comparisons with a Totarian State/Mugabi is drawing a long bow for either of the Big Two..

course! Heaven forbid we are actually represented by people that stand up for the workers of Australia. Obviously it's big business and people like Gina & Rupert that have our true interests at heart. ROTFPMSL!

I agree Charly......who else stands up for the workers against the Big End of Town.
We used to have an Industrial Relations Dept. who represented the workers in a conflict with the bosses.
Bit that is long gone unfortunately.
I am aware of the corruption .....but don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Why is the Right so terrified of unions? It;s laughable.
