Today Julia Gillard will have been PM for as long as Kevin Rudd.
Unfortunately for Australians their records are just as bad: more debt, deficits, waste, boats, broken promises and increasing cost of living pressures on families and more lies

I forgot to mention Julia Gillard was the president of this student group.

i guess you realise that around the same time abbott was using his fists to intimidate political opponents in the student movement.
his story is one of a violent power hungry little man .. furthermore he's never worked a real job in his life. he's been a lifetime parasite on the public purse.

Her misogynist speech just plain did my head in! I struggled through it on youtube and thought she just sounded like a shrew. Especially as I'd not long read this which was going around on facebook.
It also adopted a policy on prostitution which said, in part: "Prostitution takes many forms and is not only the exchange of money for sex. … Prostitution in marriage is the transaction of sex in return for love, security and house-keeping." (Quoted by Helen Trinca, The Australian, April 6, 1984, p.7).
You see this very differently than I do.
Both empower women...
The Prostitution in marriage was imo a message that women have rights and needs and shouldn't have to buy those rights and needs from their husband using sex as the currency .
If and where it happens the shame is not with the women but with the men who see their worth only in their body.

So, if he's a parasite, what does that make the other politicians (and that includes the Labour ones) It's fine to think pollies are parasites, but you can't really say one lot are and the the side you prefer aren't.
