Labor LIES
Labor knew its NBN plans were blowing out - again - by up to $1.4 billion but kept the news secret:
A CABINET briefing document obtained by The Weekend Australian confirms the Rudd government was aware of significant risks to the National Broadband Network rollout and that delays would strip $1.4 billion in revenues throughout the election campaign.
The summary of a cabinet submission by then communications minister Anthony Albanese for the meeting scheduled for July 22 ... [said:] “Given existing delays and the emerging industrial issues, we consider the rollout forecasts are questionable...”
Mr Albanese was pressed during the election campaign on his knowledge of this corporate plan, notably in a debate on ABC’s Lateline program on August 12…
Lateline host Emma Alberici...(:) “Have you got a date for receiving it?”
“We have not received—well, that’s up to the board, but we have not received the final business plan,” said Mr Albanese.
What a disaster. The politicians responsible should be hounded out of office. Yet one is now Labor’s defence spokesman

the veracity of the claims against turnbull are not the issue with me. Abbott Hockey and Pyne amongst others owe the former PM an apology for supporting that sgitjead smith and other Murdock journalists in MAKING UP FALSE stories about her.
you may be blind to the double standard but i'm not. until that happens i'll use the same standards they set at that time against them. understand ?

it just keeps giving this one
Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce says he will not repay thousands of dollars of taxpayers' money he spent going to rugby league matches last year.
The ABC has calculated Mr Joyce claimed $5,312.57 for flights, travel allowance and government car costs to attend State of Origin II in Sydney on June 13, 2012, and NRL finals matches on September 14 and 30 later that year.
His expense claims say he was on official business, something Mr Joyce reiterated today.
"Because you're an official guest. You've been officially invited by the National Rugby League, the National Rugby League has every right to have access to politicians," he said. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-11-06/joyce-repayments/5073316

I'm more concerned that Barnaby is showing a marked bias against AFL, surely Andrew Demetriou should be jumping up and down demanding equal access to the Minister for Football Agriculture. All the AFL would have to do is stump up a couple of freebie tickets, knowing full well that Barnaby will be able to fund his own way for flights, accommodation, even a cabcharge or two when you fall out of the corporate box full as a doctor's wallet (thanks taxpayers of Australia !)
I can rest easy knowing that my interests are represented by Barnaby in a bi-partisan way.
