a bit about my life.
My OH is away working. He's about 400km away from me and in the middle of nowhere (ok, walgett, same thing)
The other week he was helping a mate locate a noise in his vehicle. My OH had his hand in the engine bay checking the fanbelt when the other bloke started the motor.
The outcome was not pretty.
The Walgett hospital couldn't deal with the injury so my OH had to drive himself the 300 km's to dubbo base hospital He underwent surgery the next morning. Due to dodgy phone reception all I knew was at at 8pm my husband had possibly lost a finger and was driving through the roos to get to a surgeon.
I have been travelling between here and walgett for the past fortnight to help OH. It's bad timing as he can't afford to miss any work as their is bugger all of it around this year.
I was due to start back at work but couldn't. I have lost my job.
While I was in Walgett a pipe under the house broke and I came home to find a lot of mud and an empty rainwater tank. I do not have town water, and god only knows when it is going to rain again. That was the weekend before last.
On Saturday we went to Lightning Ridge. It is the closest supermarket since the one in Walgett burnt down a fortnight ago. On the way back we encountered a fatal single car accident. Keith was still in the car, his head mashed. I don't know what has happened to his kelpie. Yes we knew this bloke.
So there ya go, that's just the last two weeks. The last two months have not been much better.
Now, on to the photo challenge.
According to some, I am having a big SULK.
Well maybe I am, but while you lot have been squabbling over who voted for what, who didn't vote for what, giving votes, taking votes, making new i'd's to ensure such and such gets more votes and using the thread as an opportunity to score hits and continue the fued that started years ago on another board I have been dealing with RL stuff. These threads were not a 'competition' they were a diversion for me and hopefully encouraged others to 'stop and smell the roses', take a fresh look at this amazing planet. I have tried to work out the fairest way of scoring a winner of rust. I thought about discounting any of the fake id's but I can't be certain who is fake.
I thought about counting votes only up until the thursday as the shenanigans started on the friday. But Roserobins pic recieved many bona fide votes after that time. I wish you could have just let things go and not started tampering with the voting process. There are enough legitimate posters voting to give a fair outcome.
To the poster accusing me of sulking - I hold you partly responsible for the deterioration of the rust thread. You did not have to bring the missing kudos to everyones attention. That was done just to 'dob' on posters you don't like. Most of us would not have been aware anything had gone on, and as I said, the legitimate voters would have made up the difference.
Flashie, your barge photo is beautiful. As is RoseRobins rusty statue. I loved Kateys little toy, top photo and lovely memories. Cosmosgrove, stunning pics, loved that last one. So many great pics, it really is a wonderful world.

The photo challenge thread offers no monetary prize, the voting/kudoing is informal really.. nothing to make a fuss over if you win or don't win. Enjoy looking at the photos is the main thing.
