The latest scientific research shows regularly drinking one or two standard  drinks daily of wine or other alcohol provides positive health benefits for most  people.

Whether it's heart disease, many types of cancer, diabetes, dementia or  stroke, a large body of evidence now exists that shows light to moderate  consumption compared to abstaining or heavy drinking can help keep a range of  diseases at bay.

What's your wine of choice? Red or White

What specifically? Grape-wise

How much do you drink?

Crouchen Reisling is possibly my least favourite wine in the world and also Martini, I can't drink sweet wine. Crouchen seems to be one that young women like a lot.

It's cause I grew up on homemade Italian wine so as a kid I always had it at dinner with lemonade. A good heavy homemade tends to be sweet generally.

I use to like riesling but wine really is empty calories.

WHat do you mean by that?

There are a heap of calories in one glass of wine, its something like 100 calories and a serving.

I am trying to learn to cook with wine, any tips? Smiley Happy

I'm not a wine drinker, I really like a good red but only do that a couple of times a year.

My first job was working for James Halliday and he used to come into the kitchen and spit wine down the sink every morning lol

I didn't get it Smiley Indifferent

I love mead. Particularly if it's been 'cooking' for a few hours so gets really gooey.

We once cooked up a whole heap of mulled wine from some bottles of red that had gone off in the shed.  Boy that was good (I think Woman Very Happy)

Re: Let's talk about Wine

I can't drink red wine because it gives me an instant migraine. Drats!

I love a dry white wine but if I do drink (not often now Mr Ex has left) I'll have a scotch.

Cooking with wine is easy. Just slosh it in the pan.
