It's cause I grew up on homemade Italian wine so as a kid I always had it at dinner with lemonade. A good heavy homemade tends to be sweet generally.

I love mead. Particularly if it's been 'cooking' for a few hours so gets really gooey.

We once cooked up a whole heap of mulled wine from some bottles of red that had gone off in the shed. Boy that was good (I think )

I can't drink red wine because it gives me an instant migraine. Drats!
I love a dry white wine but if I do drink (not often now Mr Ex has left) I'll have a scotch.
Cooking with wine is easy. Just slosh it in the pan.

I often cook with wine.
And sometimes I put it in the food.
