Leunig's Tony Abbott cartoon: Has he crossed the line?

Pathetic that a supposedly grown man would do that......

Quite.

Although the difference between the 2 menus is that the first one was genuine in it's intentions to be sexist and disrespectful and the second was to prove a point through parody and analogy - which is how Leunig works.

I was given one of his sisters books I think 'Mary' many years ago, huge talent.

Maybe the food was poor at the restaurant and they were creating a diversion with the menu.

Not funny in the slightest. I would of thought that someone who does quite insightful cartoons had the insight to know how tacky and distasteful it is.

rather a sad and pathetic little payback attempt.

I'm with deja-vu on this one:

I'm with you on this as well. This is par for the course with this op.

This is a low rent thread to make opportunity to publish the other menu on Abbott. Pretty disgusting for everybody from both sides imo.

On Facebook where friends have liked and shared his work. I have blocked his work to my fb. Some of it is downright disgusting. I used to like Pickering when he drew for the Australian Post magazine many years ago.
