Jimmeh and countessa that is for the quarter ..arggg and the garage and store room was $600 on top of that !!
This is our first winter here and we have had a full house for the most if it 7 people .we had the house rewired before we moved in and panel heaters ,installed in every room but I don't think that is the problem .well it's is sort of because we haven't been using them correctly .we have a huge off peak Heater in the hallway this is not good imo. also the dryer and freezer are run from the garage which is 3 phase .and the pump for the water tanks.
Plus we have a wood heater that goes 24/7 .
I wash in hot water too ,so have changed that ,but I am used to washing in town water ,tank water doesn't seem to get things as clean in cold .
Any way will get some advice from our sparky and make the changes we have too .
Can't afford that every winter!
Now I am going to bed lol..

Night xx

Re: Lionrose

cut out using your dryer unless you really need to

get a clothes airer and dry them in front of the fire

work out which heaters you can do without apart from the wood heater.

as for washing get some sards soaker stuff or napisan and run that in with the cold water wash, check also to see if your hot water is run on night rate only.

Re: Lionrose

Wow annie! 2K!!! that is massive!

Our quarterly is around $600 - I have managed to cut it by around $100 by using lots of the money saving tips you can find.

And my doggies are doing fine! Thanks for asking Smiley Wink

My goodness. Lily looks VERY comfortable tucked up in bed! LOL

No way Bella will ever be allowed to do that - OH would have a pink fit!

Re: Lionrose

Evening Lillicats.

Annie, my goodness that is a huge bill. With your climate though I guess heating is the biggest component. Our bill is under 400, but we have gas heating and cooking. When we had the two kids home, the account doubled. We recently had the smart meter installed, and haven't yet had a bill. I will be interested to see what happens. I am betting it will be higher. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Oz, that hail looks amazing. Cold though. We had our coldest july day for a long time last saturday. Max daytime temp was 8.

I will countessa..

Hi Katy and b3

Think the panel heaters need to be left on low and not touched ATM they are going on and off,up and down..the off peak needs to go ..and we need to get the dryer ,freezer and pump of that3 phase ..arrg .

We have big outside lights ..sensor ones ,need to check them out too .
