Who was that lib from Qld today, something to do with a theft case, not sure whether he's been charged or just stepped down. It was kept pretty quiet in the media I thought
He did a bad thing in 1999 when he was in the army and not in politics... He was charged and did his time... end of your non story
Then you have Michael Coutts-Trotter married to Tanya Plibersek and he is the Director-General of the New South Wales Department of Education and Training In 1986, at the age of 21, he was imprisoned on a nine-year sentence for conspiracy to import narcotics. At the time he was a heroin dealer
He did his time and look at him today

Quote from Couriermail: LIBERAL National MP David Gibson has stood down as the head of a special ethics committee after it was revealed he was charged with four counts of stealing from the Army before entering politics.
Mr Gibson has held a press conference in his electorate of Gympie this afternoon where he has announced he would stand down from the committee.
It comes after Mr Gibson told Radio today that his “mistake” should not prevent him from “serving or doing anything for the people of Gympie”.
Mr Gibson was chosen to chair a special parliamentary ethics committee last year established to question Crime and Misconduct Commission boss Dr Ken Levy over his statements to a separate committee.
