I have had a few posts removed, each time I have received a courtesy message explaining why it was removed, and have been able to communicate with the mod - yes, a real live person, not a bot!!! .
Let's hope they continue this trend and don't resort to liveworld's inept system.

Another positive is that Lithium don't just delete threads that go off in tangents or get out of hand, they remove the crud and keep the threads open for the discussion to continue.
Kudos Lithium.

Show your community spirit! Talk with fellow members about non eBay related topics.
and your point is?
you can talk about any topic you wish, simply start a new thread if its off topic.
its not rocket science - just common sense and manners.

if a moderator would post and let us all know how things are re posting guidelines now that would be appreciated .It's hard to attempt to follow guidelines when they aren't clear .
If the focus of moderation is being off topic in a thread why would that not apply to having an off topic thread on a specific board ?
at what point is a thread said to be 'off topic' and as we have seen large chunks removed at the end ?
please ....not when a member starts telling others that their post is off topic ? That is very much open to interpretation (and also misuse by trolls/inflamers) on a general discussion board such as this .
are all posts within that chunk removed considered the same ? Some people value their input into discussions .It may get tricky on political threads too ? If it's a right sided post and someone mentions the left side of politics ?
Things have changed ....I for one would like to understand how those changes affect me and what they are ?Otherwise I am going in blind so to speak .

some posters have a habit of totally ignoring a topic and going off in tangents to steer a discussion to where they want it to go,often the thread then gets bogged down with crud and discussion devolves.
I for one am thrilled that that is seemingly going to be a thing of the past.

It seems like nothing has changed with how moderators work. Lithium are continuing with LIveWorld's tradition of slapping us whether we've done anything wrong or not. How fair is that ?

I may be one of the posters who gets told that they are off topic (start another thread) more than most.
