What do think?
Are we over-populated?
Have you contributed to this ever increasing number?
Does religion contribute to over-population?

There is not enough food and water for everyone.
We are losing animal n plant species because of using more habitats.
YES, we are over populated. Roughly, I think 7 billion should be 3-5 billion max.
I have been listening to Mr Dick Smith over the last few years whom is advocating that we can't continue along the same path without some form of population controls.

The majority of the population are religious. Most main religion promote "go forth and multiply" and be "fruitful."
The Roman Catholic chuch is against condom use and their missionaries in Africa are spreading the lie that condom increases risk of AIDs.
The main monotheistic religion are against abortion.

I have no reason to doubt the figures are not within probable limits. I presume they worked it out based on birthing rate per year then calculated to per second, minute, day.
