No Mr Grizz we didn't take it to the media, it was lis's younger sister she is 22. it happened on the corner of Albany Hwy and The link. The mob tried to steal her car but they snapped the key off in the lock! They were caught coz they tried to rob a taxi driver 20 mins before and he got them on CCTV. They were jouvies so they will get away with it but they were charged with agrovated assault, it all goes to make a longer rap sheet and one day they will get what they deserve!
My daughter was traumatised and had to trade her car in, she just couldn't deal with it.

Yes my car locks them for me automatically:-)
so does mine, but i have been caught out by it. If i stop the car and leave the engine running, get out, the door locks behind me! Luckily, on this learning curve, I had a passenger in the front seat who unlocked the door for me 🙂
Now i remember to press the unlock button if i need to exit the car without turning off the ignition. 🙂

donna, i assume you are referring to a new car you bought? all new cars should come with a owners manual, you'll find that in the glovebox:8}.. have a read, which should contain a guide on how to operate the central door locking system.
I am very slack, I depend on my children to do that
Drove my husbands car tonight.......will check tomorrow

I don't personally, but for those fearing being locked in if they have a serious accident, many newer cars... and by newer I'm talking late 90s onwards, automatically unlock all doors via the central locking if an airbag is deployed. (obviously if so equipped with both)
May not be the case in come of the cheaper buzzbox imports, but worth having either a good read of your manual, or asking someone in the know about your particular car.
