You know deb... the sisterhood... the quota's... the clique.....
(I don't know either, but it sounds hilarious)
I wonder if Annastacia Palaszczuk might become PM of Australia one day? Didn't someone suggest she wouldn't do well in QLD because a lot of people won't vote for her simply because she is a female? In reality there must be very few voters that think like that!

Who knows? If one can't explain it clearly for dubious reasons, perhaps best not to mention sisterhoods, quotas, cliques at all.

Sisterhood
The term sisterhood is used among feminists to express the connection of women who are not biologically related but are bonded in solidarity. The sisterhood of women often refers to their feminism, their participation in the women’s movement, their support of other women
Quota
As in women need quotas set so that they get a certain or equal representation or just to get a job.
Labor has quotas so that they get a certain number of female candidates standing in elections.
It doesn't always sit well with the "best person for the job brigade" because a women might get it
because of her sex and not because she is the best person for the job.
I respect a woman who gets a job on merit but not based on a sex / gender quota.
A fair few think it is reverse sexism, against males because it restricts male access to the position.

Ok so you're saying that someone told you posters here were a sisterhood - feminists in solidarity ( that's not true btw)
and quotas is a labor thing
OK, still don't really understand your posts, but it doesn't matter

I didn't suggest.
I asked a question IF it was a factor.
(I know two male Labor voters who wouldn't like it).
Having been brought up under "The Iron Lady", I got very used to seeing a female PM early in life.
Also nothing like seeing a female PM kick a males butt , Her cabinet and Argentina,
she used to put the fear of god into most of them
