I'm one of 9 out of 10. I know it doesn't hurt that much, I know it's good for me, but I also know I dread injections. I would rather put up with the pain of an infection (which will eventually go away as I have an effective immune system) than take the surcease of an antibiotic injection. I'll eat pills, if they are available.
It must be horrible having needle phobia. A phobia has no reasoning behind it and can be crippling. . Like Doc Martin (TV show) who has a phobia of blood. It makes for a certain kind of comedy but people do experience it.in reality.
It's good that the vaccination will be available in pills.

Thank you Dom, Countess, Stawks and Lyh for your good wishes.
It pays to talk to the night nurses when all is quiet. I have found out that the covid suspect case has tested negative.
Apparently it was always a very big IF.....the patient came into emergency from the Cronulla area where there has been just one case linked to the Northern Beaches. It is policy to test all people under those circumstances, even though there was no reason to suspect that he was in any way likely to be positive. I wish I had known this earlier.

Well, if you've taken the jab then you'd have nothing to worry about. Also vaccinated people can still transmit.
A person that makes an informed decision to not take the fast tracked vaccine is more likely to practice better health and nutrition. They would eat food that is more natural and have less toxins added. They would be more likely to drink pure water. They would be better people to be around.
Hang out with the health nut I say!

The key word in your post is " informed", which you aren't. If you were, you'd know there is no proof as of yet that people could still transmit the virus. Precautions are recommended until we do know one way or the other, that's called common sense.
And I stand by my earlier post, no vaccine=NO contact with others, no matter what you eat or drink. Heaalth nuts are dying too.
There is proof that vaccinated people can spread virus.

WACO, Texas – This week, many hospital workers received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, but health officials are advising them to continue following safety precautions.
During Wednesday’s McLennan County meeting, Dr. Marc Ellieson of Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest said vaccinated people can still spread the virus.

Yes, health nuts may die as everybody eventually does whether it's by sickness, accident or old age. When it comes to fighting off viruses and such, they have a better chance than others who don't practice good health and nutrition.

Let folk who want the jab take it without criticism. Let folk who don't want it be respected.
Respect!
I am not anti-vacc either!
Perhaps in 5 years after a reputable study is done and there has been adequate time to see what side effects may or may not exist, people in the "selective vacc", "freedom to choose", "pro-vacc but not on this one" may make a decision different to the one they are making at this time.
At this time there are pro-vacc folk saying .... "Hang on, this is too early". Way too early. It does take years for a vaccine to be proven safe. In the interim, better early stage treatment and promotion of better health and well-being is a must.
And again, you don't seem to understand certain words. Like the word" can" , it's being used until there is proof one way or the other, so people will continue to practice good protocol until we DO know for sure.
If you don't want the vaccine, fine and dandy. But stay away from anyone you could potentially infect, okay? STAY HOME ALONE.

Stay safe.
Definitely till at least the middle of next week.
I am in because my OH has medical issues and he is the mobile one in the family. They decided I was better off in here than home alone. Not sure that I agree but it is what it is.
We have just been told that there is a suspected Covid case 2 rooms away so I am not happy. I suvived the previous lockdown safely and now there is nothing I can do to try and keep safe.
Best wishes for all of you from an American who understands your stress.

I gave birth to my daughter [quite a few years ago] on Christmas Eve and the food was the best ever in the hospital so I hope it's the same for you and that 2021 is a brghter year for you both.

It's good that the vaccination will be available in pills.
In theory a vaccine taken orally would be less harmful. Hopefully the toxins such as formaldehyde, mercury and aluminium that cause harm to humans won't be in tablet form. Also with the traces of animal parts, (monkey kidney cells), animal DNA etc., stuff. that could cause conditions such as MS etc. would be dealt with buy the body's digestive system rather than being put in raw form straight info the person's blood stream and going into organs etc...

Geez - is that a recipe for the vaccine.

Well, in addition to the weakened or near dead form of the virus there's all those things in it as well. Not nice.
I'm not anti vaccine. I would have a look at a tablet form / oral vaccine and do some research before making up my mind.
