Merck Scraps Covid-19 Vaccine Candidates The two shots generated comparatively weak immune responses in early-stage studies

By Jared S. Hopkins

Merck said it would now focus on advancing two experimental Covid-19 drugs.

Merck & Co. said Monday that it is halting development of its two experimental Covid-19 vaccines, after early clinical-trial data showed the shots generated disappointing immune responses against the virus.

Early-stage studies of the vaccines indicated they produced inferior immune responses in subjects given the shots compared with people who survived Covid-19 or took authorized Covid-19 vaccines, the company said.

Got a feeling will end up being an annual or 6 monthly jab - is mutating dangerously already

Re: Mandatory Vaccination: Would you support it?

I believe it's selfish not to be vaccinated (for Covid) however I won't be taking a vaccine for this virus. Vaccines take years of research and study to determine what long-term effects of a jab will be. This has been all too hasty.

It's unfortunate as those who aren't vaccinated are putting others at risk but I must put my health first above all others. That being said, I don't make it a habit of touching strangers and have always kept my distance from strangers - I don't want to pick up their illnesses.. Ewww..

P.S. They might have touched a toilet seat.
