March in March

Who is marching in March? I will be.

"March in March Australia 2014 will be three days of peaceful assemblies, non-partisan citizens' marches and rallies at Federal Parliament and around Australia to protest against government decisions that are against the common good of our nation"

There's just so much to protest about, but I think the thing that riles me the most is our governments dehumanising cruelty to refugees.

Or maybe the 800 million payment to Murdoch

Or the nepotism.

Or plain incompetency.

Anyway, I need ideas for my placard. Can anyone help?

I'll have to travel hundreds of kilometres to get to my nearest march, so I want to make it worthwhile.

Re: March in March

I dunno how to post pics...I'll have to ask a friend to post one for me.

For the LNP doubters....there were heaps of LNP supporters there. I spotted one with a huge sign...even at a distance I could see they voted LNP....cos they were demanding justice for Bolt and free "speach" haha. They didnt give a Gonski, sadly.

And there were heaps of other LNP supporters, all protesting CSG. In fact, the CSG chants were loudest and it was obvious that was the main issue....so i had to grab a texta and add CSG to my sign in case they noticed I'd forgotten it ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm not positive, but I think the horses voted greens. They certainly liked munching on the lush green grass in the park.

It is hard work being a protester. I have sore feet, a raspy voice and a headache ... but I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. It'll be a much bigger march with more issues.

Re: March in March

Very nice, we are going to the St Patricks Day parade first and then walking up to the March in March, hopefully it won't be too chaotic.
