It seems that Tony who has a gay sister isnt allowed to have his opinion and because the gays of the country and the people on here dont like it he has to change his mind to suit them.
Far from not allowing him to have his opinion, the audience was waiting with baited breath to hear him actually voice his opinion. Alas we were doomed to disappointment.

Unlike their hero the CHEATING fraud RUDD Tony sticks to his opinion and beliefs and that shows his character.. STRONG
The gays need to get over themselves and move on and so do all the people carrying on with their over the top support..
MY guess is it if went to a referendum that it would be a resounding NO vote
TONY has an opinion.... HE is allowed his opinion.... now build a bridge

as others have said they want to hear from him...his opinion is one we all need to vote for /against.He is in it for US not himself .
You seem to suggest that same sex attracted people should get over it (be quiet) if they wish to voice their opinion and wish to be legally married ...
while suggesting that Tony Abbott has a right to his opinion ?
is everyone else (the Australian public) permitted to do so too ?

Kevin Rudd was very much against marraige equality but has changed his mind WHY ? because he hopes it will win him votes, no other reason. At least Tony Abbott believes in what he has always stated and must be admired for his unchanging stance on the matter. He did admit that if it was introduced in parliament again as a concience vote he would abide by party decision.
It will make no difference to Rudd's chances that he has changed his mind on this issue. In the main the people who want "marriage equality" are not conservative voters anyway.

It appeals to the younger generation and tens of thousands have signed up. 50,000 as of yesterday, but there'll be a rush today. I just checked that my address was correct on the aec website.
Yes, but they are in the main not conservative voters anyway.
I heard this morning that the majority of the one million voters who are not registered are aged between 18 and 25. They can enrol online, but they won't be bothered going out and standing in line with a lot of old f..ts. If we would get off our bottoms and bring in on-line voting, all parties would have the advantage of many more votes cast.
