It has been the SOP of deniers to announce that "we" have not been warming for 16/17 years. That period commenced when there was a very warm El Niรฑo with a spike in global temperature, (1998) and subsequent yearly temperatures were comparatively lower. For some reason 30 year trends as suggested by the World Met Office were overlooked???
Anyway what will the deniers say now that the 2014 global temperature anomaly was higher than their favourite from 1998?

I have the answer AJ, take 2014 as your reference point because there is a good chance this year will be cooler, so you can say things are heading for an ice age!
