Mass Shooting in Las Vegas

First reports show over 50 dead and hundreds injured.  Witness say the shooter used an automatic weapon........the NRA says, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people"...........well I find that a little simplistic........would have been hard of a knife wielder to kill that many people.

According to authorities the shooter is dead, they're looking for his girlfriend now.

The gun cockroaches are going to come out of the woodwork now, claiming that if someone had been armed, they could have stopped the shooter......bulldust.  No doubt any one armed  (and there were sure to be at least several in that big a concert) were busy filling their knickers.

First one has to differentiate between automatic weapons and semi-automatic weapons.  It is illegal to own an automatic weapon in the United States, but a semi-auto can be converted to full automatic.

It would be almost impossible to outlaw firearms, the 2nd amendment could only be canceled by a vote of the states, and that is highly unlikely.  However, with a sympathetic supreme court, it would be possible to require gun registration, for all weapons......and that includes the .380 I keep in the car, and the 20-gauge under my bed.

I wonder if Trump would stay in bed with the NRA if one of his family members got in the way of a bullet?

I'm not going to say the USA should ban guns because i know that would never happen

its the military style weapons that need taking out of citizens hands. maybe if one really wants to use military weapons join the military?

i think IF one of D Trumps family get gunned down it'll prolly be by donald.

I thought the place was crazy when I read about another gunman in the US who was when older known to have psychiatric issues, yet his mother bought him a gun when he was young (she was very keen on guns) and regularly took him shooting. 

Years later her son not only killed a lot of people, he shot her dead too. *shrugs*

I also don't get the 'outrage' in the US among the gun fraternity re copying our gun amnesty scheme.  It's VOLUNTARY.  No one would be forcibly taking their weapons away, but it might get rid of a lot of guns that are not wanted but might pose a problem if children find them.

Funny country America.  Just think how many of its citizens will now be increasing their gun collections.....for personal safety.  Arrgghh.

so they found a house full of guns and amo, big deal. there would be guys with mini **bleep**nals like that all over the USA.

all perfectly legal.

in a population of 250 milion (i think it is) i'm sure there would be at least 1 million nutters with a stack of guns just waiting to have a bad day. and that number is growing everyday.

why even bother investigating this one, hes dead, aint gonna kill nobody else. just scoop up his guns and resell em to the next loon.
