Massive Corruption within the Labor party, 60 Minutes blows the whistle

60 minutes exposes the level of corruption and illegal activity within the Labor party

https://www.theage.com.au/politics/victoria/calls-for-investigation-into-factional-powerbroker-adem-...

We all know its been going on for years. Now its time for Labor to stand up to the criminal element that controls the party and call in the police to have the offenders investigated and charged. Its not just the Labor party that is affected, its a manipulation of the fundamental democratic processes in Australia. We are all victims of Labors criminal element.

Neither cases involved elected members of parliament and both cases where for personal gain, not to destroy our democratic processes and bring disrepute to the office of parliament.

There will always be little punks attracted to the money, glitz and glamour of political life regardless of political association. The trick is to screen them out before they attain pre-selection and if they do make it through, ensure they are not allowed to grow in stature to the point where they control the party. Unfortunately Labor has always had a close association with the criminal element through its close ties with the trade union movement and criminality is seen by many in the party as simply a normal part of doing business.

whats really sad is a front line hard hitting investigative media giant like 60 minutes has been gradually eroded into a 4th rate ambulance chasing bunch of no hopers.

remember the early days with yana wendt, george negus and many others who were ground breaking investigative journos?

this story may have an ounce of truth in it, but because 60 minutes has been reduced to a 'no one believes you, your the kid who cried wolf way too often'

IF there is truth in the story, then its good its been exposed.

but is it a party destroying expose'?

no, its just another example of a guy using a political party for self gain.

and its happened, will continue to happen and prolly is happening now in the libs, greens and any other bunch of politicians.

another reason we need a national ICAC

If there is only an ounce of truth and nobody believes it, why did such a powerful figure within the Labor party resign at warp speed ?

Obviously rather than just an ounce of truth, its more likely just the tip of the criminal iceberg. There's a lot more to this story than we have are being told and Labor is frantically scrambling it to bury the whole truth before it comes out. Rotton to the core !!!

now who is a fortune reader?

one man is exposed as a criminal and suddenly its everyone is a criminal?

so if your brother was caught theiving your whole family would be theives?

stop with the 'henny penny the sky is falling' rubbish.

i have so far not heard of any federal police involvement, but when it does i'll follow it.

Did you read how Morrison got his pre-selection?  That borders on criminality imo.. what sort of person would do that?

Victorian Labor minister resigns following accusations of branch stacking
A major joint investigation by The Age and 60 Minutes alleged that Victorian Labor MP Adem Somyurek insulted colleagues and used parliamentary staff to stack branches, which helped him amass power over Premier Dan Andrews’ government. Somyurek resigned on Monday morning, saying he will seek a police investigation into the secret surveillance of his conversations with a "long term friend and factional ally".

he's gone already, thank goodness!

The way I read it he hasn't gone anywhere. All he has done is resign from his ministry job to take up residence on the back bench for awhile where he can continue with his criminal activity, playing puppeteer to the Labor party and make a comeback at a later date. Either Albo or Andrews need to stand up to this guy and expel him from the party, but they are both too gutless.

After that he needs to step down from public office while the police are to be called in to investigate the claims of criminal activity. Anything less is just a whitewash exercise designed to cover the whole mess up while it continues just like before. The party is rotton to the core and the party leaders are all too gutless or complicit to clean it up !

The party is full of misogynistic boofheads. The heavies in the Labor party did just as much to belittle and destroy Gillard as any of the idiots from outside the party. There needs to be major cultural changes within the Labor party before it can truly represent the Australian people. It is these cultural issues as much as anything else that are stopping swinging voters such as myself from supporting the party and electing it to office.

I truly hope you are right. Now time for the police and courts to do their job. Justice must be seen to be done.

what a laugh!

the team that brought us the scoop on kyle sanderlands

that was a click bait story!

not sayin theres not corruption in the labor party

but i'll look for a real media outlet for my scoops

60 Minutes = Infotainment. Mind you the ABC is still OK but nowhere the informative outlet it used to be. SBS is still OK.

But 60 Mins is something like . The news (Claytons) you're having when you're not having news.

Still nothing from the ABC on this story. This is a huge story and they should be all over it like a rash. The ABC has completely lost any claim to editorial independence and is simply a mouthpiece for the Labor movement. The reason independent broadcasters such as 60 minutes have to investigate and break these stories is because the ABC refuses to look into anything that may be damaging to the Labor party.
