Whilst they were cooking, it was predictable and I think the right person went.

Mimi showed great technique and show-cased the ingredient very well.

And then there were 15.

Yes I think the right person went home.

She was more into desserts and wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway.

And Matt using the pin?   He could outcook them all sure, but

guessing the cubes?    I think he did the right thing

Looking forward to Maggie Beer next week.

She who pronounces licorice as it looks 'licker rice'     lol

I am in total agreeance that the right person went home. I got sick to death of hearing about her kids all the time. She knew the score, she'd been there before. If she was going to miss her kids so much, maybe she shouldn't have reapplied to go on the show. The others all have some kind of family that they're away from, yet you don't hear them going on about it constantly. She must have been a barrel of laughs in the house.

As soon as the 4 were selected, I said straight out I wanted her to be the one to go.

I want to see Zoe gone soon.

Oh yes, pleeeeez

I got so sick of her at the challenge at George's restaurant.  I was certain that

the lamb on the spit was gunna dry out and be stringy

Don't think Charlie will last much longer either

The problem with watching is my hubby now says, in comparison, I can't cook

worth a shirt.   So I'm not feeding him tonight.    Let's see how that goes, eh?

I think the only thing that has been cooked so far that Mr Tippy would eat is the spit roast. He has a very limited palate, which makes it hard for me that eats everything except coffee and capsicum. The only veges he eats is potato, peas, home grown beans (won't eat the bought ones, he reckons they taste different and don't even think about frozen beans!), roast pumpkin and Brussels sprouts. He'll eat other veges if they're in something, like vege soup, but not on their own.

Most of the time we eat different things. If he doesn't want what I'm having, he cooks his own. I'm usually happy with meat and 3 veg (or 6 veg), but I do sometimes like to cook other stuff. Most of the time if I want to get adventurous in the kitchen, I'll make lots and take it to work to share when I'm working a weekend. I can't see the point in being adventurous just for me.

I'd love to be able to make some of the desserts that have been dished up! Problem is, Mr Tippy has been told by his doctor to lose weight, or else. Might have to be another work thing..........or I'll make something with nuts (he's anaphylactic to nuts).

tippy, really interesting reading about Mr Tippys palate..I have 1 here that wont eat meat off bones...sigh..example no chicken thighs, no chops, no t-bone steak...can make it difficult, and then theres 1 who would be happy to eat meat every meal..Mushrooms for 1/ the other loathes them..1 loves bacon, but wont eat pork..figure that!!! smoked salmon for both, 1 wont eat tinned salmon..but will eat prawns..my head spins sometimes writing the shopping list!

I eat pretty much everything, even canned everything..and do most of the cooking..but when I was a child, I was a pain in the a$$   would only eat plates of single colour food- for example, all white mashed potatoes, cauliflower, cheese sauce on pasta or all red- strawberries, beetroot, tomatoes...yellow- corn, bananas, pineapple..green was easy- but blue? try a plate full of blueberries 3 times in a day...but I was super healthy, never sick..so it worked for me, but I was notorious for quite a number of years..when I was much older, I understood what I put my poor mother through...but, I did grow out of it!

Looking forward to seeing Maggie B- hopefully she starts tonight?

Lurkers Heart butter chicken here for dinner...with rice, cucumber raita, maybe I will make flatbreads..

Tippy won't like it, but I'm cooking stuffed capsicum with cheesy rice

and herbed tomatoes

I'm not watching as it goes to air, or I'll be criticised for the standard of food!

I'm only cooking cos I get hungry

I have to say, I really HATE not liking capsicum. I LOVE how crisp and shiny they look in the vege section and they add so much colour to food. My hatred is so strong, I can't even pick it out of a salad because I can still taste it. It can't touch anything. I still try it every few years because I know tastes change, same with coffee, but so far, no go on both. Nana was nearly 60 before she started to drink coffee, so there's hope for me yet!

When I was about 20, I was so deathly sick with a head cold. It's probably the worst one I've ever had. I couldn't smell anything, I couldn't taste anything. I wanted to check whether my senses were really gone, so I put a large piece of capsicum in my mouth and chewed. I swallowed it. I didn't taste it at all. I knew then I was really sick!

Disappointed that Zoe won the invention test tonight. Only because she irritates me. She did give me an idea for my next cheesecake though (I make cheesecakes to take to work when I work the weekend). I was really hoping Miles would have got tasted tonight because he really did well. It would have been nice if they all got tasted because everyone looked to do a good job.

The Mystery Box should be interesting. It looks like some nice stuff being created.

I can get quite frustrating! At least Mr Tippy will eat stuff off a bone! In the steak department, he usually has rump or scotch fillet with the bone on (like a big lamb cutlet). Preferrably thick cut. If he could have them with chips and garlic sauce every night (or chips and eggs), he would, but I make him have potato sometimes when I cook it for myself. He'll eat any meat roasted, beef, lamb, pork, chicken.

If we have a roast, he'll have potato, pumpkin (has to be Jap pumpkin, AKA Kentia or something like that) and peas (or beans if I have them growing in the garden). I normally have that with the addition of roast carrot, sweet potato, parsnip and some assorted steamed veges if I have them. I usually sneak some carrot, sweet potato and parsnip on his plate under the gravy.

If we have chops I force him to have them with vegetables, usually mashed potato and peas, but I'll put a couple of bits of carrot and parsnip on his plate. I only let him have chips with steak these days, but not every time either!

The really stupid part about his intense dislike for vegetables, he LOVES lamb and vegetable soup. He cooks that and apart from the lamb, he puts in potato, parsnip, turnip, celery, carrot, a few other things (whatever's in the vege section at the time) and pearl barley. He can't eat enough of it! He stole my mum's recipe and I was always stunned in the early days when he'd eat hers. I always thought he was just being polite.

We used to eat fish once a fortnight. It could have been flathead, snapper or whatever else looked nice at the time. Then one night out of the blue, whammo, anaphylactic reaction. He knew immediately what was happening because he's anaphylactic to nuts. I wondered if it was just that particular variety of fish, so tried a different one next time and same thing happened. Interestingly, he can still eat salmon, so we'll have that occasionally (salmon is probably my least favourite, which is why we don't have it as often).

If I cook anything out of the ordinary, that isn't basically meat and 3 veg, no chance of him eating it. No chance in the world. He would go without rather than eat it. When I really want to pish him off, I'll cook a satay or Pad Thai, because then he can't come near me until the next day. It's my punishment to him for being so darned fussy!

His son is no different. He is as fussy as anything. His daughter on the other hand, is like me. Eats everything. I love it when she visits because we go nuts in the kitchen cooking up all this food we wouldn't normally get to eat. Even when she was little (she's 24 now), we would have what I called a veg out. We'd buy every vegetable we could find, steam them all up and pig out. The boys would have steak and chips. BORING!!!

Interestingly, even though he's about 30kg overweight, has a high fat diet, his cholesterol has never been over 4.2. It's so not fair! Mine is normal now, but I've always been very underweight, ate like a horse and at one point, my cholestorol was 9.6.

I knew I should have married a chef.

As for tonights show, I think Nicolette will use her immunity pin (she'd be mad not to!). As much as I'd like it to be Elise that goes, I think it might be Charlie's night. He seems to be losing it a bit.

I must have blinked, because I didn't see what Miles served up.

It was nice to see Brett get into the immunity challenge. I hope he does well and gets it. If Chloe wins again, does she then have 2?

It's now dawned on me who Heather reminds me of. Kitty Sullivan. So wholesome and perfect.

I enjoyed tonight's show, ordinary cooks inventing very interesting ideas.

I also think Nicolette should use the pin and Charlie to go.

Charlie has never really impressed me.

If Chloe has a pin, I assume she would have 2 if she wins.

Maybe they come up with something different so as not to make it too onesided.
