Was it an elimination tonight? If so, who went? Mr Tippy got a new TV installed in his room today (they all did) and they weren't working tonight, so missed it.

I'm sick of the commentary from the peanut gallery. Someone cuts some butter and weighs it "Good job Trent". What's so clever about weighing some butter?

I thought at the start it may have been Matt's time to go, but it seems to be Trent that's struggling now. I think Mimi's pretty safe.

One thing I can't work out is, why when it comes to desserts does everything have to have a balance? They always mention having something tart to balance the sweetness. Why can't something just be sickly sweet? I know sometimes I just want sickly sweet and if it wasn't sickly sweet I'd be disappointed! That's why I can sit down and eat drink a full can of condensed milk. Sometimes one just needs that sickly sweet hit!

Aw that's just weird Tippy!   A whole can of condensed milk?  Really?

Sorry, but I like something tart as well, with the sweet.  Like when I make

sticky date pudding, I like to have fresh raspberries with it, cos it's too sweet

Trent gone.   And I think I'm sick of Matt.  Truly over him.  Was my pick to win, but.....

Those eyes are freaking me out, and he's losing the plot with some of the cooking.

I like Elena - if she didn't wax lyrical about everything it would be better

Matt still has the ability to win, but I think he's got a bit cocky these days. His ego has got a bit out of hand. That will be his undoing. And those eyes, yes, weird! As much as I hate to say it, Elise has a good chance of winning now. She still drives me nuts with "I'm really freaking out", but she seems to have found herself and is turning out some really good stuff. I don't want her to win, but she's definitely in with a chance now.

I think it will be a busy week. I'll miss a few eps so will have to try and catch up on here.

Condensed milk by the can, yeah, blame my mother for that. She lived on it when she was pregnant with me. It was the only thing she could keep down. I think it must have crossed the placenta. When we were growing up there was always a jar of it in the fridge that we could steal from. A big peanut butter jar that held 2 tins perfectly!

Trent chucked his job as a sparky and is now cooking in a cafe/restaurant. in an pretentious, yuppie up-market part of town, admittedly.Shows he is definitely a convicted foodie.

Given the $ a half-competent sparky makes compared to an apprentice chef.

if I ever get a few bucks spare I'll go to the place he's cooking at. I'll probably get the $$ around the time he opens his own place, so I might wait until then.

Trent was on The Project tonight and couldn't answer "Is there any other sparky who could have turned out the food you did" (or something similar). Maybe, off the top of my head - Ben. Who won. Who was a sparky.

Mind you The Project team obviously had no idea of the answer, either. They were trying to ego-stroke.
