A smile a hug and it`s nice to meet you (if this is your first meet) add "again" if we have met before..I don`t know why some have to make this meetup sound like it`s the pits...lots of laughs is usually on the agenda!!
Anyone that is comming for the first time, only has to look for those two old lovebirds.
Some of us have met Nicnacs in person and know whom to look for, but I don't like to see her burdened with the extra problem of recognising new members. So, here we are. Propably sitting at a table with others, and look out for the glass of red in front of me. ๐
We are eight years older than the photo, but have not changed much.
I have posted this photo before and am not afraid of people seeing what I look like, neither is Peter. We have nothing to hide or any wealth to be murdered for, but we love people and we love to make new friends.
Perhaps I will wear my wedding dress, so everyone will recognise it and come to the right table.
Problem solved? And never mind the Lurkers who don't want to join in, but sit in the back of the room and then post a lot of rubbish and insults on the boards. I feel sorry for anyone who will come to Georges on that day, but not join fellow posters from eBay. Some lifetime friendships have been formed over the Internet. Not everything is gloom and doom or horror. Just look at the photo of two people who have met over the internet.
Love you all, big and small, rich or poor, young or old, if you say;"Hello!" I will embrace you as one of us eBay friends and endeavour to get to know you better.

Too right I was jealous about not being able to attend but I don't think I would have fitted in anyway - different sense of humour, obviously.
How my bit of humour in my post could sound like the pits is not a nice thing to say. And I suspect your response, may have been due to the actions of people at a former meet-up, of which I know nothing.

Deb, nics was laughing at your post and the bit in red was refering the other poster trying to pretend to be Bob and any other negative comments on the thread, it wasn't about your post.
nics was just saying it's not like that, in case you wanted to come.
