Thanks Iza. I can vouch for the feelings of grief and certainly the impacts of prolonged stress.

I will read the links. I/we need all the help I can get.

Oh, btw I work and am not a carer as far as govt or payments are concerned.

We just love and care for her.

I don't even know it that is important or relevant. I just get a bit confused with the word carer.

Hi TTTT , I can vouch for it being  hard to do anything when you have Carer Fatigue too .I never would have believed it .

We do all need to take care of us as much as we possibly can Woman Happy

I work full time and I have just started an online course in web development.

I have 2 children, a daughter aged 27 and a son aged 19 that I raised alone and who both thankfully have no signs of depression and are well adjusted and doing well. They are my greatest achievement.

My daughter is in the Queesnland police force and lives close by with her partner and my son works in hospitality and lives at home with me, mind you I hardly see him, as you can imagine, at 19 he is always out and about.

I don't get lonely, I like being solo, the nature of my depression is feeling smothered and unsure when in a group and sometimes just withdrawing from everyone (children included and that hurts me).

Bec (daughter) and Brodie understand me and have lived with my disease all thier lives and just know instinctively how to act around me at different times, I count my blessings for that.

I need work and things to keep me forever occupied - and strangely, while stress is often a trigger for depression I seem to thrive on it (my job especially) and tend to look for the most difficult way of doing things because I mistrust anything that is too easy.

None of this is very interesting, just thought I would share a little of me with you all.

Sending positive and happy thoughts out to all who post here .......

thanks for sharing greencat Heart  and please dont say its not interesting, I think it is interesting to read about your life..particularly that your kids are so sensitive and empathetic. They must give you support and great joy..

You sound as if you are quite attuned to your depression, and are able to manage parts of it (sorry if this is not right) it seems that staying busy can be quite key, it seems to absorb thoughts that can cause anxiety..and also, when you are busy, you are part of others lives, which can take the edge off being isolated.

I know its not that simple all the time, or for everyone, and Im not for a minute assuming its always like this, but I think its important to share your journey as others can learn and gain insight..

I hope everyone here has a good day. Be kind to yourselfHeart

Too much time to think too much can be a problem.

Keeping the mind busy is important.

Thanks youcandoit - it is very like you said at times, and yes Hawk - for sure, filling the mind helps (until I just bubble over LOL) but keeping busy is my way of staying sane at times.
