Morning all,

Mind isn't working well these days.

There are workmen in the area and the noise of powered tools and radios blaring is grating.

Putting the headphones on and reading/napping mostly.  Wandering around the garden in the evenings has been helpful.

Keep the awareness active.

Oh, and thank you, youcandoit; the stroking of the arms is soothing.

We have a stockpile of meds here...seems such a waste to get rid of all the stuff that's been paid for, some will be needed others not. Her dose has been halved in some cases - but halving tablets when the dosage is dropped is a no go, Well not Olanzapine anyway. They keep changing  everything, all the time!

We bagged up a heap, scripts as well. But do we keep the stuff she's still on,I can't get over it and It is very concerning how dangerous all those scripts and unused meds can be.

Hello everyone.

I haven't ever done Yoga and don't know if the following is from those teachings.  However, many years ago when I was hospitalized, our group was invited to try relaxing our body.

Lying down. Eyes closed. In your mind's eye see each of the parts of the body mentioned as you slowly relax the muscles in the feet; then calves; thighs; hips, waist; chest, arms; neck; face.  Lay there quietly for a few minutes.

I was absolutely astounded how "tight" my face muscles had been.

This gentle therapy may help any and everybody by taking the time to relax - a quiet few minutes.

........................

Hugs and rubs and caring thoughts to all.

Morning all Smiley Happy

Hope today is a good day- Mondays can be difficult sometimes, but they can bring new beginnings and a chance to refocus. Sometimes its just put one foot in front of the otherHeart

Thanks for the tips re relaxing my shoulders lloydslights. I used to use that technique many years ago..starting at the top of the head, with the additiion of breathing into the tense areas and breathing deeply and slowly: in through the nose, out through the mouth.

Thanks for reminding me.Heart

warm hugs and gentle pats for those who need them

Funny you mention yoga lloyds.

I had a beginners dvd arrive today!

I got a yoga mat for xmas.... 3 months on I actually get a dvd... gawd i hope its not another 3 months before I try it out Smiley Very Happy

Motivation is not a strong point for me at the moment.

My daughter did a bit of yoga whilst in hospital so hopefully it will be something we may both benefit from. She seems keen anyhow.

Like chicken soup, it can't hurt!
