Menu (with ref to Gillard & Rudd) - Restaurant Owner admits it was his idea

Just heard this on TV. Owner said he thought it was a light hearted idea. I didn't catch it all but I think he said it wasn't handed out at the dinner.

crikey - It was that restaurant named in the link on a previous thread in this topic.

but quails only have little tiny thighs - have you seen a quail drumstick?

I think that's not the kind of quail they meant

It seems suss to me - why would he go to all the trouble of printing up such an extensive menu for his own amusement?

It would take less than 5 minutes. He probably had the proper menu on his computer already and just opened that and changed it and printed it...

Yes but why??

If as he says it was only for himself and his son to have a joke about, wouldn't they perhaps make those remarks in conversation?

I just think it is all too convenient.

It seems they may have. Intellectual Property Laws - Theft - maybe Defamation if they said that the menu was at the function and it wasn't. Passing Off.

I guess it all depends on what they said when distributing it and how much and what type of damage they have caused as to who may make a case against them.

I am reasonably certain that the menu was not theirs to redistribute.

Intellectual property laws relates to items that are copyright doesn't it?

It was a fake menu. Not as if a previous employee had stolen the current menu and was using it in another restaurant.

The guy that posted it on facebook didn't claim it was used at the function. He didn't even work there then I don't think. He just copied it from FB and put it on twitter.

Everyone/anyone that has seen that fake menu at the restaraunt will be ducking and diving. I don't think we will get the straight story.

"I just think it is all too convenient." of course it must be.  Hockey was telling lies according to DY, whilst attempting to somehow tenuously  connect his munching habits with an alleged series of unverified events. (after 2 months and now it has surfaced , that  is all too convenient as well)

OK,  the protestations  as to the events not occurring  (2 months ago)  are obviously inconvenient twaddle, and the latest revelations from someone who actually has knowledge of the facts, twaddle again.

So for "what I believe" & "it must be so because I say so", tune in to CS for up-to date left leaning truth, sans fact (twaddle).

so who decided that it was used at that function?

It doesn't matter that the menu was fake - the work allegedly belonged to that of someone else and was not theirs to take, copy or redistribute.

Nor does it matter if the menu was currently in use.

What a load of twaddle:^O

The first person (employee) who took the fake menu and posted it on facebook, would know a bit more about it. Whether there was just the one original fake menu or whether there were a few of them lying around. Where did they pick it up from, off a desk where only the owner usually uses?

Is there any proof yet, one way or the other, as to the authenticity of the menu and its existence at the function?

so who decided that it was used at that function?...donnashuggy of course:^O

Intellectual property encompasses a component known as Trade Secret... Yes, I know that.

The formula for Coca Cola is a trade secret, not a fake menu from an obscure restaurant in Brisbane:^O

There is no way the owner of that restaurant would bother suing anyone for taking his copy of a fake menu....be realistic please.
