Menu (with ref to Gillard & Rudd) - Restaurant Owner admits it was his idea

Just heard this on TV. Owner said he thought it was a light hearted idea. I didn't catch it all but I think he said it wasn't handed out at the dinner.

crikey - It was that restaurant named in the link on a previous thread in this topic.

I just can't see how he can be blamed for how people reacted when it appears that it was never his intention for it to be published.

IF..he had it in a workplace he owns where his employees can see it while they are working for him...It has been called sexually offensive .he can be blamed for that can't he ?

IMO - our PM humiliated herself and did not handle the situation with the skill or decorum that I would expect of our leader.

convenient ? expected  ?

No it wasn't expected. I would have expected anyone trained in the law, let alone the leader of our country to establish some FACTS and to obtain some PROOF before Reacting.

Please, we're now going to blame others for how she handled herself and the situation? Only she assisted by her advisors could control her reaction.

Convenient? ABSOLUTELY! Convenient that her inadequacy as a leader was revealed/re emphasized BEFORE the election.

Anyway, I'm done talking politics - I think I have talked more politics in the last two days than I have in my lifetime.

I'm just so disappointed that our PM has shown how weak and ineffectual she really is. She had the power to really move this world forward, to show that a woman can strive to be more than a 1950's housewife.

I will always admire her for her achievements in reaching the position that she did, there is no denying that entering two traditional male dominated fields is worthy of praise. She has done what very few people manage to do, far less a "mere woman". It's just such a shame that she wasn't better at performing her job.

I'm not disappointed in our PM Crikey...I am with Australian adults who still find the kind of humour  and language that sexually  degrades women funny ...it's 2013

Tony A is in my area today (Wollongong), a pity I had to work today, I could have tracked him down and asked him personally about that 'menu'. (They had a private fundraising party there last night too).
