Menu (with ref to Gillard & Rudd) - Restaurant Owner admits it was his idea

Just heard this on TV. Owner said he thought it was a light hearted idea. I didn't catch it all but I think he said it wasn't handed out at the dinner.

crikey - It was that restaurant named in the link on a previous thread in this topic.

looking at the picture of the menu, it is laminated i'd say. do they print on top of the laminated surface ? or would you laminate them after they were typed up ?

Again making a supposition, was it laminated, only the people who have actually seen it would know. Where is the absolute proof that any member of the LNP had anything at all to do with the printing or distribution of  "the menu" and how many copies were made with the offensive (hahaha) remarks.

All you labour supporters who apparently loathe TA would believe anything without proof.

"

I work at the Brisbane restaurant in question and let me assure everyone that the menu was indeed made public. How lovely of the owner to fall on his sword like that. What a trooper and what payback did he get I wonder. Didnโ€™t anyone think it was rather a fancy menu just for father and sonโ€™s amusement? Odd that they had it professionally printed too just for the pair of them donโ€™t you think? The fact Brough et al would blatantly lie about it says everything we need to know. I
gave my notice this morning in disgust. It is also interesting that the mainstream press couldnโ€™t be bothered to speak to restaurant staff to find out the truth. I guess fiction sells more papers right? This time next year the majority of Australians
will be regretting the day they voted Abbot into power. Look
what Campbell Newman has done in Queensland. It is a complete mess.

Great article Mary. Thank you. It is such a shame that many Australians would prefer to bury their heads in the sand. Because if we think we have it bad now just waitโ€ฆ."

professionally printed??

"gave my notice this morning" ROFL - 2 months AFTER she knew of it's existence? What, it took her two months to become disgusted?

"mainstream press couldn't be bothered to speak to the restaurant staff" How many of the staff approached the media? another ROFL - is she talking about our media? As in the one always accused of printing anything for a good story?

I am sure there was a comment made from "Josephine" - I won't give my last name - the restaurant Manager

Exactly what did the papers print?

Fact is Brough said " โ€˜Mr Brough says the menu was drawn up by a non-party member who thought it would be โ€œhumorousโ€ and โ€œdidnโ€™t mean any harm by it,โ€ but is now โ€œdeeply apologeticโ€.โ€™

This is prior to the restaurant owner claiming responsibility, maybe I should stick to Agatha Christie novels lol

show us ya pics!

LOL

What picture are you looking at, could you please show me? I only saw the one that was put here yesterday, and it never jumped out at me as being laminated. It just looked like it was printed on some fancy card - though I must admit, to me the gold embossing appeared to be raised and as such I assumed it was professionally printed.

they'd be laminated after being printed LL, that's why I think it was an awful lot of trouble to go too, ( if what they're saying is true) ๐Ÿ˜‰

as a matter of fact when I first looked at the menu, I wondered if it had been professionally printed because of the font, but I was unable to see if there were any borders, The reason I wondered is because my father is a letterpress printer and that's the type of thing he prints up for clients.
