Just heard this on TV. Owner said he thought it was a light hearted idea. I didn't catch it all but I think he said it wasn't handed out at the dinner.
crikey - It was that restaurant named in the link on a previous thread in this topic.

So the owner made a one off menu as a private joke between him and his son. I do hope he is ashamed. I would have thought that someone whose restaurant was also linked to a shop that sold $5000 suits would have a little more class than that. Undoubtedly he will attract a lot less business as a result.
I hope they name and shame the two responsible for its distribution. If there aren't legal ramifications for their actions, there will certainly by industry ones - it is unlikely that either will ever get a job as anything other than a line cook in grandpas burger joint ever again. They have broken the trust, not only of their employer, but also of their workmates - who now would want to work with or employ them?
Seems that a few on the boards may have to eat humble pie though, eh? No wonder no one at the function admitted to seeing it. It wasn't even there. Hence the lack of proof.
Will be interesting to see how the situation is handled over the next few days, but I daresay, that if the newspaper article is accurate there will be quite a few apologies going around.
I do hope that our PM has the good manners to at least be a little embarrassed by her reaction and comments. She is a lawyer and reacted without proof or confirmation - if the newspaper article is accurate and the LNP are innocent of all wrong doing, then our PM has shown that her reaction was a knee jerk irresponsible and unthinking act who was grasping at straws to smear some mud.
I do expect better, not only from our PM, but also from someone trained in the law.

Light hearted my foot!
What flavour pie would you like to order?
Humble or egg?

Gillard is going to say "see.. even the supporters are sexist"
She won't apologise.. she NEVER does.

I thought the quail with small breasts and large thighs rather funny

Or the LNP donor owner decided to cop the rap because he's a good guy and
The damage to his business and business reputation would not be worth that. His associated store sells $5000 suits.
Unless you are now implying that the LNP gave him hush money in the form of promised patronage, contracts and accounts?
I hope that we see the LNP distance themselves from this establishment - they would be foolish iof they didn't - imagine what would happen if word got out about continued patronage or money exchanges now.

I wouldnt be surprised if the LNP leaked it, trying to manipulate the ALP into making the reaction they did knowing it would then make them all look like fools.....

But they should have known better than to react like they did regardless of who "leaked it" - with no substantiated proof. These are educated people, at least one of them trained in law, and they reacted no better than a bunch of gossiping housewives and Labor supporters on ........
ROFL @ manipulating them into making that reaction. They should have known better. They should not have reacted before they had proof.
These are the people who are apparently leading our Country!
I hope for the PM's sake that by morning, this confession is proven to be fake, otherwise I can't see how this is anything other than the final nail in her coffin.
It would just reinforce for me the haste and lack of due care and investigation that so many other things have been implemented in by this government.

Why? What they did may not be fair, but they haven't broken any laws. In the other thread it said a 'past' employee who reosted it on twitter.
I don't think the owner will lose a lot of business either, probably knows a lot of people who thinks the same way he does.
