Message bank

Do you have message bank on your mobile ? I took mine off because it was costing a fee every time I missed a call. I then had to retrieve the message ( fee) and ring the person back. I now get a missed call message (free) and the number so I can still contact the person back if not on a blocked number. Big rip off by the telcos and do you need the service ? Think of the number of missed calls everyday and imagine how much they are making.

I don't have a message bank like answering machine type service, but I do have voice to text, so if someone leaves a message (which they don't usually, I can see the call was missed and return it), I get a text. Which is completely useless. A friend once left a message about a book and T's message to text service interpreted it as an invite to a pizza party. ?????????

Re: Message bank

I like my message bank... but I only pay $20 and get $500 worth of calls so it does not cost me to get my messages.

Sometimes I am waiting for important messages and at work I can't answer my phone so I let people know they can safely leave a message for me and I will get it on my morning tea.

Have you checked your statement ? I think you may find a charge for every time you retieve a message left for you. I got rid of it because everytime I retrieved a message it cost 5c which i think is a rip off and totally unnecessary. I have $500 in free calls and SMS on my mobile per month but that would not include message retrievals. I now just get the phone number and a jumbled message from telstra at no cost.

Yes I get those to, what I asked was who has message bank meaning someone actually leaves you a voice message IE this is the tax department please call Joe Blogs on this 629725894-23. you have to pay to retrieve that voice meassage and then ring back, you don't need it if the number shows as a missed call.Man Frustrated
