Hi all,
Has anyone done this program or know someone who has done it? Would love to hear what you think.
Time for me to get a bit more active and my food intake needs a bit of improvement.
Thanks

That is great news about your friend lurker, thank you for sharing.

Over the years I have been on several different diets and a couple of different exercise programs. Most of these diets and programs have been based on conflicting theories, but they all had one thing in common: a reduction in calories and an increase in metabolic activity (leading to an increase in energy consumption). Regardless, they all worked for me to the extent I complied with the programs.
The problem with most diet and exercise programs is not that the programs are inherently ineffective, but that people slide back into bad habits. The issue is really one of motivation and consistency. As I understand the Michelle Bridges program in incorporates motivational activities so it is bound to be more effective than those programs that merely provide a list of foods to avoid.
One piece of advice. These things are always more effective if done with a friend. If you can convince a close friend to do it with you you can support each other in those difficult times (ie 2.00 AM when walking past the kebab cart).
Good luck, and remember: you also need a plan for week 13 and beyond.

Very true and some good advice here. Have a friend coming over this weekend so we can look at it together and the plan is we both get in to it.

A friend of mine did but didn't have a whole lot of success, she lost some weight but not a lot. I also did the program and followed it however couldn't do a lot of the exercise due to a back injury. I did replace that with other exercise. While I lost a small amount of weight I've lost over 10 kilo on my own without any costly program. I would never pay that much for a program like that again, complete waste of money. The best advice you will ever get is exercise about 30 mins a day and eat a balanced diet. Will cost you a lot less and you will have better results.
In saying that some claim that they have had lots of success with it but they obviously have lots of money because they continually do the rounds. It might be better to just commit to a healthy diet with your friend take up a sport and just eat well. Be accountable to one another, much cheaper and more likely to become a life time habit.

Good luck with it Julie, if you work at it you will love the results.
My daughter in law was also very focused, did it with a friend who could not do all the exercise due to some problem she had and whilst she didn't achieve as much as my daughter in law she was realistic and was very happy with her results.
I will say that my daughter in law was doing Zumba, long distance bike riding, on the roads not an exercise bike and lots of other exercises and still does.
She took a trip to Adelaide for the end celebration last year, that was their reward and well as the new body, lol.

Thank you for all your replies public and private.
We are going to give it a go. The extra exercise will do us good and a cut back on calories should show us some results.

I'm doing it at the moment, Julie, I'm on my second round and I've lost 17 kilos. I don't think it is expensive, $200 for 3 months and you get all your eating and exercise plans - it teaches you how to eat properly and how to do effective exercises. The decreased amount of my food bill has more than made up for this cost - buying fresh food rather than pre-packaged stuff makes a huge difference, even for two people.
You do have to be organised (not a bad thing!!) and you need to be determined, particularly with the exercising!! I lost 13 kilos in the first round, but this round had a foot operation and was unable to do much exercise at all for almost a month, back on track now. My mum is eating the same foods I am, but is unable to exercise at all, she has lost 10 kilos. We follow the eating plans pretty strictly.
I start work at 7am and found that I was finding too many reasons not to do the exercise in the afternoon, so I'm up at 5 to do it before work. The first 2 1/2 months I did all the exercising at home, but now I've joined a gym that is open at 5.30 am and I'm there every day that I work (5/7) I don't generally do the super Saturday session, I find come the weekend, I really need to fill up my sleep bucket.
I can't recommend it enough. Several girls at work joined up after my first round because they saw the results I was getting, but in the main they are not being very strict on themselves and haven't lost as much as I did the first round, but all have lost. I can only go by my experience, but I'm rapt with it. If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help.
