Mike Baird. I dunno about you...

I have said on these borads before that I thought he was genuine and generally I didn't mind him.

But in the lead up to the NSW campaign, he has stooped to standard Liberal tactics of lying through his teeth.

Take his latest pledge - he is going to create 150,000 new jobs. 150,000!! Out of thin air apparently because nothing he has said actually backs this up. In fact, everything he is planning to do will actually throw more people on the unemployment scrap heap.

So how can any man with morals make a statement that is clearly untrue - that just by electing him, he will be able to create enough jobs to put a 20% dent in the current unemployment figures?

Is it a lie that selling off nearly 50% of one public asset is effectively giving a profit making entity a monopoly on what should be a regulated, government asset?

How is 49% a monopoly, effectively or not?

It was Labor that started selling off parts of the electricity asset (Keneally).

Now the current Government  is asking for bidders for 49%of the Transmission Grid (poles/wires)

I think the sale will go ahead regardless of who comes to power in the next State Election.

I wonder how the Labor Party will pay for all its promises, should they win, if a sale doesn't go ahead.

And why is the Nurses' Union appearing to worry more about Electricity than nursing matters?

They are door knocking in hired uniforms of nurses and fire brigade workers. The lies and filthy underhanded actions in this campaign beggars belief.

Vote Labor if you want to be represented by liars and union hacks.

He is not like Shorten, who inserts himself into every political campaign so he can practice his trade of low speak union  and lies rants.

Lol!!!!

Are you even from NSW??

Abbott is nowhere in sight. The campaigning is being done by Turnbull and not by Abbott who is a poison chalice at election time.

Mr Abbott like Mr Turnbull, is in Canberra attending Federal matters.

Mr Abbott will be attending the State Funeral of Malcolm Fraser tomorrow.

The voice of Malcolm Turnbull is being used in a "robocall" to voters in the suburbs adjoining his Federal Seat, and in the Blue Mountains area.  Shame about the use of last year's picture  of Mr Turnbull alongside Mr Baird in Coogee to give the impression that it was yesterday.

Rubbish, PM Abbott was at the campaign launch. I'm personally glad that he does not find it imperitive to insert himself into what is a STAtE ELECTION not like shorten who needs to be rabble rousing the union faithful, after all that's all he's good for.

He's got nothing to offer and he's a deadly enemy to any who thwart him, just see Gillard and Rudd.

Former prime minister John Howard and current Prime Minister Tony Abbott greet Premier Mike Baird at the campaign launch.

Big deal. Was Miss Piggy there too, or Kermit the Frog? They would have just as much affect as anyone else planted to 'greet'.

I wonder how the Labor Party will pay for all its promises, should they win, if a sale doesn't go ahead. Labor has not promised anything near the amount the Libs have, for that very reason, they have not factored in any expected funds from sale of electricity poles and wires.

Not forgetting this.

For starters, the government that Mike Baird leads is currently in tatters after the Independent Commission Against Corruption went through it like a dose of Epsom Salts washed down with Mylanta and prune juice. With twelve Coalition MP’s forced to resign from their positions or move to the cross-bench including a sitting Premier the government Baird leads has proven itself to be perhaps the most corrupt government in the country’s history.

Here are some facts.

Fact check: Did NSW Labor fail to deliver 'a single railway line'

The New South Wales Coalition Government has attacked Labor's record on railway infrastructure.

According to Premier Mike Baird, during Labor's time in office from 1995 to 2011, a dozen new railway lines were announced, but none delivered.

The verdict

The NSW Government's list of twelve lines promised by Labor omits the airport line because the contract was signed under the Coalition, even though it was entirely built under Labor.

It also doesn't count the Epping to Chatswood line at all because it wasn't the full Parramatta to Chatswood line first announced by Labor. It ignores the Olympic Park and Cumberland lines which were completed under Labor after being announced and partially built under the Coalition. And the list includes the South West rail link, because even though it was announced and commenced under Labor, it was completed under the Coalition.

The Premier's office also says he isn't referring to the light rail from Central to Lilyfield which was announced and delivered by Labor, because it's not heavy rail.

But none of these distinctions are made clear in the Premier's claim that Labor "did not deliver a single railway line".

Mr Baird's claim is overstated.
