I have said on these borads before that I thought he was genuine and generally I didn't mind him.
But in the lead up to the NSW campaign, he has stooped to standard Liberal tactics of lying through his teeth.
Take his latest pledge - he is going to create 150,000 new jobs. 150,000!! Out of thin air apparently because nothing he has said actually backs this up. In fact, everything he is planning to do will actually throw more people on the unemployment scrap heap.
So how can any man with morals make a statement that is clearly untrue - that just by electing him, he will be able to create enough jobs to put a 20% dent in the current unemployment figures?

John Howard, Tony Abbott welcome Mike Baird at the NSW Liberal campaign launch in Sydney
Former prime minister John Howard and current Prime Minister Tony Abbott greet Premier Mike Baird at the campaign launch.
Big deal. Was Miss Piggy there too, or Kermit the Frog? They would have just as much affect as anyone else planted to 'greet'.
Yes it's a big deal and no Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog were not there (omg what era are you living in?) but that's not the point. The point is Martini tried to score by saying Mr Abbott was nowhere near.
In fact, Mr Baird made a point of presenting Mr Abbott as a "good friend"
"What a pleasure it is to stand here in front of a friend of mine, the Prime Minister Tony Abbott," Mr Baird said.

I believe Mr Abbott encouraged a young Mr Baird's political career.

Abbott was at the liberal party launch? that's actually quite a bit different to actually campaigning in NSW. Malcolm Turnbull is doing all the campaigning for the LNP in NSW.

Whatever it takes eh?
Just who is being honest ?.
99-year lease on
50.4 per cent of its interest in electricity distributors Ausgrid and Endeavour
100 per cent of the high-voltage transmission business, Transgrid.
However Essential Energy, which operates poles and wires in rural NSW, will remain in full public ownership.
So it also appears that the tail (National Party) is wagging the dog(Liberal Party), and what a dog of a party it is.

I wonder how the Labor Party will pay for all its promises, should they win, if a sale doesn't go ahead. Labor has not

I think so too. It's not a new concept. Labor's Morris Iemma unsuccessfully tried to implement it 2008.
It will keep raising it's head until the electorate becomes used to the idea and votes it in. There is simply no other way to raise the sort of money government needs for infrastructure. They have to sell mining licences, land and infrastucture.

He is not like Shorten, who inserts himself into every political campaign so he can practice his trade of low speak union and lies rants.
but mike made sure that Abbott did not open his mouth-
What a great idea, would not the Federal Liberal wish they could do the same

Yes, Abbott present that's all.
Malcolm Turnbull was robo calling voters....
Mr Shorten asks the Prime Minister "why the NSW Liberals prefer a recorded member for Wentworth [Malcolm Turnbull] to a real prime minister".
The Speaker rules the question out of order before Mr Abbott has a chance to get to his feet.
(This question refers to the state Liberal Party using robo calls made by Mr Turnbull to voters in the final days of the campaign.)

I don't think so. Voters that are against privatisation, won't just change their mind because they get used to it being suggested!

He's got nothing to offer and he's a deadly enemy to any who thwart him, just see Gillard and Rudd.
There are a lot of Federal Pollies hoping that he does the same in a Federal election. Abbott is the best thing going for the Labor Party to regain office.
