I didn't say that breeders should stop breeding. It never came to my mind to buy a dog in a shop as if it was a thing like a hairdryer, but the pounds are full and it seems that hardly anyone  considers rescuing a dog but buys one because of it's looks as if a dog was an acessoire and not a future family member.

our dog was a misbreed. she didn't turn out as expected, her hind legs were longer than the front legs and i am not sure if the tail was supposed to look like that.

my aunt bought a jack russel from a breeder because they wanted a jack russel (probably cos jack russels were in fashion then).

she is a lovely dog, unloved with very sad eyes. every time we visit she will sit on our lap and be petted until we leave because no one there really cares about her or pets her. she is an acessoire
