Missing Passport

A couple of years ago, I lost the foot control to my sewing machine and a clever poster found it for me.

So, I can't recall the id of said wonderful poster......... but my husband has lost his passport somewhere in the house, it usually resides in the filing cabinet with mine but it isn't there.

I am systematically turning the house upside down to find it and my last room to search is my sewing room. I would really like to avoid that if I can.

Help! please, anybody!

sit down and both put your thinking caps on.....systematically go back in memory banks and jot down all the last few times you required passport I.D. to make applications for things.....this might help. e.g. New Bank account?....Centrelink?.......passport could be in a different file according to what was being applied for? This happens from time to time. Hope you locate itSmiley Happy

Is it possible that last time it was put back in the filing cabinet it fell between folders and is lying on the bottom of one of the drawers?

Anyone need a tissue?

I sense it is where the tissues reside ๐Ÿ™‚

That's a good point Paintsew.  Perhaps he needed to take a few documents for identification and they are all in an envelope or folder together and it's not in it's usual place.

Have you pulled out all the drawers to see if it fell down the back of the cabinet?

start going through your files thoroughly.....start looking in the newest first.

Then go through his/your desk or paperwork-search through correspondence and 'enveloped' docs.....passport will turn up I promise!

Thanks, have emptied the filing cabinet................ all folders and drawers too, ha ving a big clean out. ๐Ÿ™‚ I know it will turn up but he thinks it's lost..................... I suspect he put it somewhere safe and forgot.

No tissues for me LT, mine is right where it is supposed to be. ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for the commiserations..............

It is up for renewal in 2 years, so if need be he can just get a new one!

You know what? I think that's it! He had to open a bank account for his dad with POA recently.

If he wants a new one when the old one is lost, it will be a full application he would need to do. Rather than a quickie renewal form.

hope you find it ๐Ÿ™‚
