Do you have anything against it?
Why?
What about other religions? Buddhists and Christians, are they ok?
Comments welcome 🙂

me too Chuk................ no idea what Religion my neighbours are.............. some we are quite friendly with. Live and let live, I say.
One thing I will say is, the Sudanese in our area have the most beautiful, well behaved and well dressed children!
The Muslim families I know also have children with exceptional manners and social skills. None of them drink or smoke................then, it's rare for us to socialise with anyone who does really, so maybe a social thing where we are concerned.

Islam is a bit more than just a faith. It's a whole set of religious, social, ethical and moral way of life.
That's pretty much sums up any religion
Why are we calling it "just a religion" then, as against any other?
Our religion is Christian yet it doesn't dominate what we eat, or our legal system, what we wear, etc, what we may or may not do.
So we do not use a bible in court?
Abortion and Ethanasia laws being classed as murder had nothing to do with christianity?

Our legal system was founded on Christian principles (for more details ask Crikey!).
Oh how we as a nation display our christian principles......greed, envy & hate.
Though they make a great shield and when running for a political seat, carrying a bible or getting a photo of you at church gets the voes.

Wearing the flag too. Make sure to disrespectfully drag it along the ground behind you.

Not necessrily. If you don't believe in God, you can simpy make an affermation instead, and I believe (though I am open to correction) that Muslims are allowed to swear on the Koran..

Before union boss turned western Sydney MP Ed Husic takes his seat in the 43rd parliament of Australia, history will be made.
Mr Husic, the son of Yugoslavian migrants, is the first Muslim elected to federal parliament and will today become the first MP sworn in by the Chief Justice of the High Court with his hand on a copy of the Koran.
The Blacktown-based former national president of the Communications Electrical and Plumbing Union arrived in Canberra yesterday carrying with him the Koran of his proud migrant parents who will watch on from the public gallery as he takes his oath.
While downplaying his religion and the significance of his contribution to Australian political history, the MP for Chifley said "getting elected to parliament, full stop, is an enormous privilege".
