My Mums update thread

This thread is dedicated to my Mother and her recovery.




On Monday the 4th June 2007, while holidaying in the UK with my Father, my Mother was struck by a van while crossing the road.

Mum spent 88 days in various UK hospitals before finally being brought home back to Australia on the 30th August 2007.

She is currently in The John Whittle Nursing Facility with brain damage

I have set up this thread to keep you all updated on her condition and her improvements and hopefully one day, Mum will be able to read it.

Amy she's still beautiful.....she just can't communicate the way she used too....you have to believe that. NO matter what she looks like, she's still your mother and she has left you with lasting memories. BTW, bubba is gorgeous and your kiddies are perfect! :-x

i just dont understand any of this.
i cant make any sense of it.
I havent let go like this for so long.
im a sobbing mess right now but am also so furious at the world

i just want someone to tell me why.
Ive talked to counsellors, psychics, pastors.
no one can help me understand this. they all talk about reason. They all talk about a higher purpose.
but there is no reason for this and wtf is the higher purpose?

You're grieving for your Mum - for the Mum you used to have. There's no time limit when it comes to grief. You remember your Mum as a healthy vibrant woman who was very much an important part of your life. That she is not able to be how she was, is not fair. That she is in a state that she would not want to be in, is not fair. That she is unable to give you a hug, is not fair. Sometimes you have sob and rage, and shake your fist at the world. You miss your Mum. XXX
