My Mums update thread

This thread is dedicated to my Mother and her recovery.

Photobucket

On Monday the 4th June 2007, while holidaying in the UK with my Father, my Mother was struck by a van while crossing the road.

Mum spent 88 days in various UK hospitals before finally being brought home back to Australia on the 30th August 2007.

She is currently in The John Whittle Nursing Facility with brain damage

I have set up this thread to keep you all updated on her condition and her improvements and hopefully one day, Mum will be able to read it.

OH my. l just read this thread through from start to finish. The spanning over the years, the happyness and sadness.
What a strong person you are. You may not feel like it most of the time, but you are. And you are a good person, a caring one too, that stands out in some of your heart-felt posts.
There are no answers, no one has any, you can only do the best you can. And that is what you have done.
Take care, and white light healing in all the places it is needed most.

Hi Amy,
I'm so glad to have found you again. I was following your thread until it was closed down but always wondered how things were going and I was hoping that you were OK.

The best thing in one of the links you shared was:

"Reborn
The British Medical Association, for example, currently deems such miraculous events not as recoveries from PVS, but as an indicator of an earlier misdiagnosis."

Oh, and congratulations on the addition of your lovely baby son to your family.

You keep soldiering on darling. I'm anxiously waiting for some positive news.

Oodles of love and blessings to you.

Amy, I've followed your story from the very beginning and I sincerely hope the Stilnox will have some effect on your mother, no matter how small.

Your efforts have been nothing short of amazing and it's just a pity others didn't have the same drive. You are a wonderful daughter.

Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚
