My Mums update thread

This thread is dedicated to my Mother and her recovery.

Photobucket

On Monday the 4th June 2007, while holidaying in the UK with my Father, my Mother was struck by a van while crossing the road.

Mum spent 88 days in various UK hospitals before finally being brought home back to Australia on the 30th August 2007.

She is currently in The John Whittle Nursing Facility with brain damage

I have set up this thread to keep you all updated on her condition and her improvements and hopefully one day, Mum will be able to read it.

Mum is being taken off the Stilnox today. It has not given us the miracle that it has for others. Theres no point continuing to give it to her

At least you got them to try something, but sadly it might've some too late for her. (((((hugs)))))

yeh, apart from the first day,dad was there everyday as was the head nurse.
Mum would be given the stilnox and then she would sleep for 2 hours.
Ive also reported Mums lack of response to the head Dr in South Africa and he has also said that responses are usually immediate.
It was a long shot. Not everyone who is given it has a reaction. Majority do not respond.

Amy, you gave it a shot, and it's a shame that it didn't help, but you tried. :-x
