Day 3 of the great 'You have to play the game my way or you can't play in my sandpit ner ner' week and I see it has created the biggest them and us type divide on the boards since the great malicious code scandal aka malwaregate.
Congratulations. 😐

Well speaking for myself (can't speak for lighting) I miss much more than the fights and insults. I actually stayed out of most of them and would just give up reading them when they got too stupid. I miss a lot of the fun times. Oh and wonder of wonders I actually contributed to some of them on a regular basis. 😉
am3 is there some reason why every single time you respond to me it is in a negative way. Not that I care. I'm asking more out of curiosity than for any other reason. Oh and if you were only aiming your response at lighting then just ignore my question. I have not idea what history exists between you and lighting and nor do I care.

I'm feel so sorry that you are still missing the old chinwag, with its inspired & intelligent threads, that was deleted several years ago, mlor...and that you have the need to complain about it in each post since then. No, it didn't change name from chinwag to community spirit. It was deleted. Gone :_|
there's a website that might be able to help you. I can't remember the URL, but it's the go back machine site, or something like that? It stores old web pages. Perhaps chinwag has been stored there? I know I've seen old eBay home pages there 🙂
Yes, I am looking forward to the new forums and the return of the discussions about eBay.

yawn
can you get reported for yawning? If so I feel one coming on.

Double yawn.
No history mlor. Responding to posts, not the poster.

Every reply isn't required to be positive or agree with the posts before.

My opinion Chinwag became CS (a board for posting general topics like CW was), and other boards were deleted, so posters from those had no other option but to post on CS if they wanted to continue using the discussion boards.
Note I said my opinion, not claiming it to be fact.

A separate RT type board would have a more positive impact on CS than banishing a few political posters to their own board imo.
